Dessert Bar Packages

 

We offer three different packages to help you create a stunning and delicious dessert bar for your celebration.

Our minimum order is $300 for dessert bars. (This works out to 53 guests for the "Duo" package; 32 guests for the "Trio" package; or 23 guests for the "Quartet" package.)

We've incorporated our all-time best-selling mini desserts into the packages below, so you can feel confident that the offerings will be a hit with your guests (and that everything will get eaten by the end of the party -- or maybe even by the end of dinner!). 

 

 

Need help estimating quantities?

In our experience, guests typically help themselves to 3-4 dessert items each. If you're also offering a portion of cake, we recommend ordering one serving of cake for every two guests (i.e. a cake to serve 50 if you're expecting 100 guests). We then instruct your caterer to plate the cake into half-portions, which are the perfect size to accompany a selection of mini desserts (ideally 2-3 per guest, along with the half-portion of cake).  

It is human nature to want “one of everything” — in other words, if you wish to serve 6 different types/flavors of dessert, you’ll want to order 6 dessert items per guest. For this reason, we recommend sticking to just 3-4 different dessert types/flavors at most. This offers your guests variety, without overwhelming them with choices. We have created our packages with these principles in mind.

OPTIONAL EXTRAS FOR YOUR DESSERT BAR

 

  • Cutting cake for the center of your dessert table: Choose any design from our Classic Cakes collection, starting at $200 
  • Delivery and setup of your dessert bar: $80 within Seattle; additional fee applies for venues beyond Seattle
  • Rental of all cake stands and platters needed for your dessert selection: $75 (with fully-refundable deposit of $250)
  • Take-away packaging (e.g. glassine bags & small boxes): $1.25 per guest
  • Custom signage (typed or calligraphed) for dessert items: $3.50 - $5.00 each 

 

DESSERT DETAILS

 

  • Chocolate shortcrust tartlets with chocolate truffle filling: 2" diameter dark chocolate tarts filled with a swirl of whipped bittersweet ganache.
  • Vanilla shortcrust tartlets with pastry cream filling: 2" diameter vanilla shortcrust tarts with vanilla pastry cream and fresh organic berries.
  • Chocolate-covered Oreos (as featured in print in Seattle Bride, Fall/Winter 2016 edition): Everyone's favorite chocolate sandwich cookie — available in mint or regular — enrobed in white chocolate, tinted any color to match the palette for your event. (These can be adorned with sugar blossoms or custom metallic finishes — e.g. rose gold, copper, silver — for a small extra fee.)
  • French macarons: Classic almond-based sandwich cookies. (These are quite different from coconut macaroons, although it's a common error to refer to macarons — one "O" — as macaroons — two "Os".) Available flavors: Orange, Espresso, Nutella, Raspberry, Blueberry, Vanilla, Lemon, Salted Caramel, Hazelnut, Chocolate, Green Tea, Lavender, Strawberry, Apricot, Cassis — minimum 3 dozen per flavor. (Gluten free.)
  • Tiramisu parfait: Lady fingers soaked in espresso and Kahlua, topped with mascarpone mousse and finished with crushed chocolate-covered espresso beans (served in a clear 4oz cup with a bamboo spoon).
  • Browned-butter Rice Krispies treats: Not your mama's rice cereal square! We elevate the classic recipe in three ways — we double the quantity of butter, then we brown the butter to create a rich and nutty flavor, and finally we add coarse sea salt for oomph. (Gluten free; vegan optional.)
  • Chocolate-dipped strawberries: Choose from white or dark chocolate. (Gluten free and vegan.)
  • Two-bite brownies: Crazy-good and fudgy, with a crunchy topping of chocolate chips and chopped nuts.
