Pink Magnolia Cake for World Trade Center Seattle

Time for a blog update, eh?  I'm pretty good about the weekly updates... that is, until July and August arrive, and then everything goes south.  Having said that, don't judge my handiwork as you judge the frequency of my posts -- I may have become a shoddy blogger, but I've not dropped my standards when it comes to CAKE.

Take a decent-looking Honey Crumb custom cake (and some cupcakes, for good measure), and add Alante Photography... and, as I said to photography prodigy Kim Person via e-mail, my internal reaction goes something like this: holy moly how is it possible my baked things did not look that awesome in real life these people and their lenses have some kind of crazy magic in them. I swear.

These confections and their accompanying sugar blooms were created for the Weddings on the Waterfront showcase at the World Trade Center Seattle late last month. Rebecca Grant and Alyssa Hoffman of New Creations were responsible for the venue styling, design, and coordination at WTC. I love those beauties.
