Box Pleats with a Pop of Yellow

I spent yesterday evening and this afternoon making a display cake for the NW Bridesmaid Bootcamp in Lakewood, WA, tomorrow afternoon. If you're in the area, come visit the expo and meet me!
The details are:
Sunday, March 4, 2012
12PM-4.30PM
McGavick Conference Center
Clover Park Technical College
4500 Steilacoom Blvd SW
Lakewood, WA 98499

The cake is three square tiers, and would serve 100 people (but could be sized to suit your event and the number of guests you're expecting). The grey textured ribbon, box-pleated trim, and bottons are all made from fondant, and I used gumpaste to make the flowers and foliage. I think the yellow-grey combination is so refreshing on a cake!

Here it is without sugar flowers:

And here it is with some sunny pops of color:

Update (March 5th): Here's the cake on location at the expo in Lakewood! (More pics to come soon, of my booth setup and display cakes.)
