Happy Thanksgiving!

Apologies, readers, for the slight delay in posting -- I have had a jam-packed schedule of tastings with the future brides and grooms of Summer 2012!  (Note -- March through September dates are filling up quickly!) Also, I just took a little mid-week break out of state with my husband to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It was so sweet, and just what I needed. As for the "spider" cake from last weekend, I shall be harassing the (lovely) photographer from that wedding, Anne Herman, for better pics of the cake than I was able to take on site with my smartphone. I'll keep you all posted.

Meanwhile, in the spirit of the holiday tomorrow, I'd like to thank all the Honey Crumb blog readers, and all the amazing bridal couples and customers whom I've had the enormous pleasure of working with over the past year. Thank you for making my job so joyful, creative, challenging, and fulfilling. I couldn't ask for more.

Happy Thanksgiving to you.  Be safe, eat well, and love your families crazy-mad this season!

And just because a post here isn't complete without a cake pic or two, here's the little 6-inch confection I made to celebrate our anniversary this week. (The cake within is brown-sugar Victoria sponge with Swiss meringue buttercream, which was served with a wonderful raspberry coulis. I made the sweet peas on top from gumpaste.)
