I made 3 dozen cupcakes for a baby shower today, split into two batches. One batch was vanilla cake with lemon zest frosting (tinted pale canary yellow), topped with a fondant monogram disc for the mother-to-be. The second batch was Mocha Bliss cake (espresso sponge base, with dark chocolate shavings mixed into the batter), topped with a swirl of cream cheese frosting and some pale yellow candy pearls. They were boxed as six batches of six, and my client's car had a wonderful, cavernous trunk to put them all inside. We used sheets of rubberized drawer liner to stop all the boxes from sliding around -- thank goodness for that stuff!
